Professional Development center- Policy document for eligibility of the students for Placements
All the students eligible for placements shall register with the Professional Development Center (PDC) at the commencement of the VI-I semester and submit registration & undertaking form.
All eligible students shall have minimum aggregate and without any backlogs apart from satisfying the criteria specified by the recruiting organization/ company which may differ from company to company.
A student with a history of indiscipline will be disqualified from campus placement process.
Students must attend all the training programs conducted from the first year onwards by LENORA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. A minimum of 90% attendance is required as eligibility criteria to participate in placements drives.
Students who are not interested in Placement (Students aspiring to go for higher education either in INDIA or abroad or choose any other career options) may withdraw their name from Placement by giving the letter in writing to PDC before commencement of CRT training program.
To be eligible for placement, a student must maintain a minimum academic attendance of 75% in the semester up to the campus visit of a company.
Campus Placements Policy
Students shall attend the recruitment process in the dress code specified for placements and maintain strict punctuality at stages of selection process.
A student once selected by a company during on/off campus is not eligible to appear for any more placement drives. However, students from Non IT branches selected in IT service/cross functional companies will be permitted to appear for the respective core Sector Company drives even if the compensation offered is less by 25% compared with the earlier offer. This chance will be given for the subsequent two core companies that come for placement drive.
In any department, if 75% of the respective department eligible students are placed, upon the individual request, the selected students will be allowed to appear for the subsequent two placement drives subject to the condition that the CTC offered by the company is higher.
In general, all eligible students are expected to appear for all the selection processes (On & Off campus). However, an eligible student may withdraw from the placements drive not more than two times on his/her own with prior intimation and approval. Students who are absent beyond two drives will be disqualified from campus placements.
Students appearing for the campus drive shall take the process with utmost seriousness and shortlisted students in the preliminary screenings shall attend the subsequent stages of the selection process. Defaulters shall be disqualified from further campus placements.
Selected students shall strive to improve their academic and professional competency till they join the company. Further, after the completion of the graduation, the notification of the on-boarding process shall be at the discretion of the company.
Selected students shall be obliged to honor the offer given by the company to sustain the relationship of LENORA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING with the companies.
