LENORA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING has an independent Department of Training and Placement (TPD), committed to provide all possible assistance to its students and also to meet the needs of organizations. Management has taken a right decision in right time to establish a separate Training and Placement Department in 2005.

OBJECTIVES

• TPD provides necessary training to impart employability skills to its students.
• TPD provides necessary arrangements for company visits.
• TPD ensures the students to secure placements.
• TPD makes the students to feel comfortable to face several competitive examinations with confidence and competence.

Activities of T & P Department

• Department-wise Project Based Value Added Domain Knowledge training was organized.
• Soft-skill training.
• Initiatives were taken to strengthen mentoring & gradation system.
• Organizing technical workshops & tutorial classes for unplaced students through Peer Group (placed students).
• T & P Department has been strengthened by engaging one High Power Committee comprising of seniors faculty members of all disciplines under the chairmanship of Principal.
• Faculty team has prepared On-line Test series based on Question Bank and regular On-line Tests for students will be conducted from next semester.
• Pre-placement training plan (aptitude, soft-skill, MOCK Technical, MOCK HR)for current 3rd year students are organized.
• Programming Proficiency Committee is formed comprising senior faculty members and industry professionals to enhance the skill of coding starting from 1st year.
• Start-up and entrepreneurship activities are encouraged.
• Students are encouraged in PGCET/ECET/GATE/GRE etc. for higher studies & PSU sectors.

Employability skill training starts from 2nd year onwards for all the branches in the college. The training modules cover Aptitude, Technical, Objective general English and Soft Skills.

A no. of reputed companies in IT, Manufacturing and Construction Sectors visit the College for
campus recruitment.

Industry Institute Interaction

• Arranging project works in industries,
• arranging industrial visits,
• arranging industrial training during vacation,
• organizing campus interviews,
• providing job market information to the students and necessary inputs to face interviews/selections are some of its activities.
