The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was started in the year 2009-10 with an intake of 60 students. It has spacious laboratories viz. Networks and Measurements, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Digital Electronics & Micro Processors and Power System Simulation. It also has a separate departmental Library for the students of EEE for ready reference. It has qualified faculty and is headed by Prof. M.Joythi with 10 years of experience in teaching, with more than 6 years of experience in industry.
All the faculty members are easily accessible to the students for counseling and guidance on academic matters. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering presently offers the following program:
- STUDENT INTAKE/STRENGTH:
- Intake : B. Tech – 60
- Lateral Entry: 20% at II year B. Tech
- M.Tech – 24 Power Systems as Specialization.
The faculty members are encouraged in their research activities and permitted to participate in various National and International Seminars/ Conferences / Workshops. Senior faculty members of the department are pursuing PhD’s and are doing research work in various areas of specialization.
